Fortis Health World

We have been here in Tilak Nagar for a while now. The shop is right at 309/6 Shanti Path. If you know the Jawahar Police Station, we are basically just opposite that. It is a busy spot. Every morning we open up and start sorting through the stock. Medicines come in big crates and we have to get them on the shelves before the first group of people shows up. It gets pretty crowded around noon. We handle a lot of prescriptions and sometimes people just come in for a band-aid or some vitamins. It's a pharmacy, so things are mostly quiet but organized. The shelves are packed. Sometimes the computer is slow and we have to write things down by hand for a minute. That is just how it goes here. We have a few staff members who live nearby, so they walk to work. It is nice being in this part of town because you see the same faces every week. People stop in to ask where the police station is even though it's right there. We just point across the street. It's not a fancy place, just a regular shop with white tiles and lots of boxes. We spend a lot of time checking dates on bottles and making sure everything is where it should be. It takes a lot of work to keep a health store running properly but we are used to the routine. Sometimes we run out of something and have to call around to find it for a neighbor, but that is just part of being a local health store. We like the rhythm of this street.
