First Cinema

We've been running First Cinema here on Tonk Road near Ashram Marg for quite a while now. It's just a regular movie theater where people from the neighborhood come to watch whatever is playing that week. The building has seen better days, maybe, but we keep the projectors running and the seats are mostly okay. People know where we are. It’s not one of those fancy malls with twenty screens. We just have the one place and we show the big releases when they come out. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit loud, or the snacks are just the usual stuff you’d expect, but it works for a night out. We open the gates before the show starts and clean up once everyone leaves. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do anything too fancy. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know the regulars who show up every Friday. If you’re driving down Ashram Marg, you can’t really miss us. We just try to get the movies on the screen on time. There isn't much more to it than that. It's a place for the local crowd to sit down for a couple of hours and see a story. We handle the tickets at the front and make sure the hall is ready. It’s just how things go here every day and we like the routine of it all.
