Jaipur Elephant Association

We are located at 350 Ramganj Bazar, right in the middle of things here in Jaipur. This part of the city is always busy with traffic and people walking around. Our association deals with the elephants and the folks who take care of them. It’s more of an office and a meeting place than anything else. We have files and papers everywhere because there is always something to keep track of. People come in to talk about the animals or to settle some business related to the tours and care. It’s not a tourist attraction itself, just a place where the work happens behind the scenes. The building is old, like most things in this area, and it can get quite hot in the summer months. We have a few fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. You can hear the noise from the bazar all day long—horns honking and vendors shouting. It’s a very lively place to be. We’ve been at this address for a long time and everyone in the market knows where we are. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the door at number 350. It’s a bit dusty and cramped inside, but it’s where we get the daily tasks done. We have some old wooden chairs for visitors, but they aren't the most comfortable. We aren't here to impress anyone; we’re just here to do the work.
