Galaxy Cinema

Galaxy Cinema is right on Mansarovar Shiprawali Road, right in the Riico Area. We’ve been here for a good while. People come in mostly on the weekends to see the new movies. We spend a lot of our time cleaning up the popcorn and empty bottles after the late-night shows. The lobby gets really loud when a big film is about to start. Sometimes the air conditioning feels a bit too cold for some folks, but nobody ever complains about it in the heat of the summer. We know many of the regulars who come here by face now. It is just a regular movie house, nothing fancy or over the top. My cousin works the ticket counter most days. We see families from the neighborhood all the time. The screen is big enough, and the sound system works fine for what we need. It is hard work keeping those floors shiny with so many feet coming through every day. Every Friday is a bit of a rush for us. We try to get the new posters up on time, but sometimes we are a day late. The parking lot can get pretty messy if we do not keep an eye on it constantly. Life around here just revolves around the different showtimes. Sometimes we sit in the very back row and watch a few minutes of the movie ourselves when things are quiet. It is noisy and busy, but that is just how it goes here in Mansarovar.
