Dooars Transport Limited

We operate out of Khandelwal Market on S.C. Road. Our office is at number 3, and it’s been our base for a long time. S.C. Road is one of those places that never really sleeps, which is good for a transport company. We’ve got a lot of history in this building and in this market. The office is usually filled with the sound of people talking on phones and the clatter of keyboards. We are a limited company, but we don't act like a big, cold corporation. Most of us have worked together for years and we know the transport business inside and out. It’s about knowing the routes and which drivers are reliable. We deal with a lot of long-haul trips, so there is always a lot of coordination involved. The market area is cramped and loud, but it’s where all the action is. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We rely on people knowing us from our years on S.C. Road. It’s a lot of manual work, checking logs and making sure the manifests are correct. We drink a lot of chai and spend our days making sure the trucks are moving. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the weather or the roads cause trouble, but we just keep pushing through. It's a steady life and we’re happy with how we do things. We just keep our trucks on the road and our logs updated as best we can.
