Divya Electricals

Divya Electricals is situated at Plot No. C-72 in Chandra Nagar. Most people around here know it as the 9 Dukan area in Jhotwara, not too far from Kalwar Road. It’s a small shop but we keep it packed with all kinds of electrical supplies. If you need a specific wire or a switch for your home, we probably have it buried in a box somewhere. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but I know where everything is. My cousin helps me out when the shop gets crowded in the evenings. We’ve been here for a few years, and the neighborhood has grown a lot around us. We don't have a big staff or any corporate rules. It’s just a local business where we talk to our neighbors and help them find what they need for their repairs. The ceiling is full of different fans we have for sale, and they hum all day long. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the bench until it comes back. We don't do any big marketing. People just see our sign when they are heading towards Kalwar Road. It’s a simple life running this store. We open early and close late, six days a week. It’s just a regular shop doing regular business with the local folks. We try to keep enough stock so people don't have to go all the way into the main city.
