Disha Commerce Academy

Disha Commerce Academy operates out of 111/194, Madhyam Marg in the Vijay Path area of Mansarovar. Being on Madhyam Marg means we are right in the thick of things. There are shops and other businesses all around us, so it never really stays quiet for long. Our place is basically a bunch of rooms filled with benches and big tables for commerce students to work on. We have lots of calculators lying around and piles of ledger books that seem to grow every month. It is a very straightforward environment. We don't have any flashy lights or expensive carpets. The walls are a plain color and the lights are those long tubes that flicker a bit when you first turn them on. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just going through accounts and numbers. Students come in after their regular school or college hours, so the afternoons are the busiest time for us. We just sit together and work through the problems. It is a very practical, hands-on kind of place. Sometimes the chai wala brings a tray over and we all take a ten-minute break. It’s not a high-pressure corporate office, just a local academy where we try to get the work done right. The fans are always spinning and there is a constant sound of pages turning and pens scratching on paper. It’s just how we do things here in Mansarovar.
