Dilkhush Hair Dresser is located at Plot No-172 in Ashok Vihar, which is part of Malviya Nagar. We are close to the Nandpuri Bypass, so we get a bit of the wind and the noise from the traffic moving around the city edge. The shop is a small, standalone place on the plot. It’s been here for quite some time, serving the people who live in the Ashok Vihar colony. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us working the chairs. The interior is pretty simple with some old wooden cabinets for the towels and tools. We keep the windows open mostly to let the air in, even if it brings a little dust from the bypass. Customers usually just walk in without any appointment and wait their turn while reading a newspaper or checking their phones. We do standard haircuts and shaves for the men in the area. No fancy treatments or expensive packages here. It’s just about getting the job done right so people can go home satisfied. The name Dilkhush means happy heart, and we just hope people feel alright when they leave the chair. It’s a quiet life here, just cutting hair and watching the neighborhood change over the years. We stay open late most nights because that's when our neighbors have the time to come see us.
