Cutting Care

The shop is at number 119 in Sector 11. Kumba Marg is always busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming back to Pratap Nagar. We opened up here because it seemed like a good spot where people actually live and walk around. It's not a flashy place. We have the usual stuff, some combs, a few bottles of spray, and towels that we wash every single day. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so I’m always sweeping between customers. It’s just how it goes. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in and they can’t sit still, which makes the job a bit harder, but we manage. My neighbor runs the shop next door and we usually grab a samosa together around four o'clock. Jaipur gets really hot, so the cooler is always running. It makes a bit of a humming noise, but nobody seems to mind much. We don't do anything too complicated here. People just want to look decent for work or a wedding in the family. I’ve been working with hair for years now and my eyes are getting a bit tired, but I still like the work. If you are around Sector 11, you’ll see our sign. It's nothing special, just a place to get your hair fixed up while you talk about the local news or the traffic on the main road.
