We set up Craft Cave in Jawahar Nagar because it’s a quiet spot that fits what we do. It’s basically a big room filled with all kinds of supplies and half-done projects. We call it a cave because once you get inside, you kind of lose track of time. There are shelves everywhere, mostly overflowing with materials we’ve picked up over the months. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, but that’s how we like it. We spend our days making things by hand, whether it’s small items or larger pieces that take a week to finish. Sometimes the floor is covered in wood shavings or scraps of fabric, and we only clean up when we can't find our tools anymore. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. People from around the neighborhood stop in just to see what we're working on today. We don't have a big marketing strategy or a fancy storefront. We just enjoy the work and the community here in Jawahar Nagar. Most of the stuff we make ends up going to local folks who appreciate something that isn't mass-produced. There are usually a few of us here, and we often have some music playing in the background while we work. It’s just a simple life focused on making things one at a time. It isn't always perfect, but it’s ours. We just keep creating whatever comes to mind and hope it works out.
