C.L.Hair Dresser

The shop is right here on University Marg, close to Janta Store. It stays pretty busy because people are always walking through the Central Market. We’ve been at A-5 for a while now. Most days just start with opening the shutters and sweeping the floor. It’s not a big fancy place, just some chairs and mirrors. You get the students from the university and then older men who live around Tonk Road coming in. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but nobody really minds. We just do the haircuts and shaves like usual. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door open a bit. There’s always someone sitting outside waiting or just chatting. I’ve seen this market change a lot over the years. Some shops closed down and new ones opened, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s a simple routine. We see the same faces every month. Sometimes a kid comes in for his first haircut and he's crying, then a few years later he's coming in on his own. That's just how it goes here. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the front. People know where we are. It’s just work, really. Keeping things tidy and making sure the scissors are sharp. That’s enough to keep us going every day from morning until the market shuts down at night.
