Chhagan Singh Shekhawat & Sons is located at 32 Suresh Nagar, inside Mehroli House. This is very much a family-run business. My father started it, and now we all help out to keep things moving. It’s not just a workplace for us, it feels like a second home. We handle various types of trade and services, depending on what our regulars need from us. The building itself has been around for quite a while, and it has that old-school feel to it with heavy wooden doors and high ceilings. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny signs. Most of our work comes from people who have known our family for decades. We sit in the office, drink some chai, and talk through the orders. It’s a slower pace than some of the big companies downtown, but we prefer it that way. There’s a certain pride in having your name on the door and knowing you’re carrying on what your father built. Sometimes we argue about how things should be done, but that’s just what happens when family works together. We know the neighbors, we know the local vendors, and we just try to be fair in our dealings. It’s a simple life, focused on keeping the business steady and our customers satisfied with the basics. We don't need much more than that to keep us happy and busy through the week.
