Down in the Sitapura Industrial Area, specifically at G1/736 near Tonk Road, is where Bhagyadeep Cables Pvt.Ltd. operates. It’s a hot part of the world, and our factory floor definitely feels it in the summer months. We spend our time working with copper and plastic insulation. There are these big spools everywhere, and if you aren't careful, you’ll trip over a stray wire. We’ve got a group of people here who really know how the machines work, which is good because they can be temperamental. Most of the day is spent checking the gauges and making sure the wire is coming out at the right diameter. We don’t have much in the way of decoration; the walls are just plain brick and the lighting is mostly those long tube lights. Our office is a small room with a window that looks out onto the production floor so we can see what’s going on. We drink water out of those big clay pots to stay cool. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of the industrial area, which delays our outgoing loads. It’s a straightforward life here. We make the cables, we roll them up, and we send them off. Tonk Road is always busy, so the sound of traffic is just background noise to us now. The gate squeaks whenever someone enters, but we never got around to oiling it.
