We are based at 31 Dhula House Road, right in the heart of the Bapu Bazaar area. This is one of those places that is always packed with people looking for textiles, so there is never a dull moment outside our doors. The building itself has been around for quite a while and we occupy a good part of it for our operations. It is a busy atmosphere where we are constantly moving rolls of cloth from one floor to another. The stairs are a bit steep and can be a real workout if you are carrying something heavy. We have a lot of people working here, mostly focused on the different stages of making the garments. It starts with checking the raw fabric and ends with the final folding and bagging. We do not have any polished showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have shelves piled high with inventory and workstations that are always cluttered with thread and needles. The air is usually thick with the sound of several people talking at once and the hum of the machines. During the festival seasons, the road outside gets almost impossible to walk through, which makes our logistics a bit tricky. We just try to stay focused on the task at hand and get through the pile of orders sitting on the desk. It is just a regular day-to-day business for us at Bhagwati Fashions.
