Baghwala Uphar & Watch Co

The shop is right opposite Road No 2 in the Murlipura Scheme. It's a nice enough spot, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes when the market gets crowded. We’ve got watches, but we also keep various gift items, which is why the name is Baghwala Uphar. I’ve spent countless hours sitting behind the counter watching the neighborhood change. People from the nearby houses come in looking for a birthday present or maybe just to get their wristband adjusted because it's rubbing them the wrong way. I don't go for any of that high-end marketing stuff. I just show people what I have on the shelves and let them decide. The back of the shop is where I do the technical stuff, changing cells or fixing the hands on a clock that’s fallen behind. It gets pretty cramped back there with all the boxes of spare parts and gift wrap. Murlipura is a quiet area compared to the main city, but there’s always someone stopping by. I like the routine of it. Opening the shop, checking which watches stopped overnight, and waiting for the first customer. It’s a simple business. I don’t have a big staff, just me mostly, making sure everything is in order. You get used to the small scale of things. It’s just how a local shop should be, I think, without any extra fuss or polish. I try to stay organized but it's hard with so many tiny items scattered about.
