Baba Saloon

We run Baba Saloon on Ajmer Road in the Sadar Bazar area of Nasirabad. It is a straightforward barber shop where we handle haircuts and shaves for the men around here. Being in Sadar Bazar means there are always people moving around and plenty of activity right outside our door. We have been at this same spot for a long time now. The shop is not very large but it has everything we need to do our work. We started this business because we wanted to provide a reliable place for the locals to get their hair cut. We don't use any complicated marketing or try to sound bigger than we are. It is just a local business run by local people. Many of our customers are soldiers from the nearby cantonment or people who work in the bazaar. We hear a lot of stories and have good conversations throughout the day. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a quick cut. We try to keep the place tidy but with hair flying around all day it’s a constant task. Ajmer Road is a busy stretch so we get a lot of people stopping in while they are out doing their shopping. We open up early and stay until the bazaar starts to quiet down in the evening.
