Raza Impex is over at No. 13 in the Chandra Shekar Azad Colony, which is part of the Bas Badanpura area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit different from being in a big industrial park or a city center. We have a small office that fits right in with the other houses and shops. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except when the school nearby lets out or when someone is moving goods down the street. We’ve set up our export business here because it’s convenient and feels like home. Inside, we have a few computers and some shelving units where we keep our files. It’s not a polished corporate office. We have some old posters on the walls and the furniture is a mix of things we’ve picked up over the years. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails. We don't have a receptionist; if the door knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. Usually, it's just the mailman or a neighbor dropping by for a quick chat. We like the slow pace of the colony. It lets us focus on the work without too many distractions. Bas Badanpura is a hardworking area, and we fit right in with that. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just a small impex operation run by people who live and work in the community.
