Avi Saloon Spa

Avi Saloon Spa is located at Plot No. D-26 in Nandpuri, right in the Malviya Nagar area of Jaipur. If you know the Udb Building, we are very close to that, so it is not too hard for people to find us even if they are not from this part of town. The shop has a big glass front that we have to wipe down all the time because of the Jaipur dust. Inside, we have the usual salon chairs and some sinks for washing hair. The lighting is okay, but we added a few extra bulbs last year to make it brighter in the back where the spa area is. It gets quite hot in Jaipur, so the air conditioner is almost always running at full blast, which makes a low humming noise all day long. We keep a stack of old magazines on a small table for people who are waiting their turn. Most of the people who come here are regulars from around Nandpuri who just want a quick trim or a shave. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that; people usually just walk in or call us on the phone. The floor is tile and we try to keep it clean, though hair always seems to find its way into the corners. It is a steady place to work and we have gotten to know the neighbors quite well over the years.
