Ashoka Parlour

If you walk down Maharaja Pratap Road in Vaishali Nagar, you will find Ashoka Parlour near the Rangoli Garden area. It’s a nice part of Jaipur to be in. The gardens make the air feel a bit fresher than the middle of the city. Our shop is a quiet little spot where we have been for a few years now. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us working the chairs. Most people who come in are from the apartments nearby or folks out for a walk. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don't rush anyone out. Sometimes a customer will sit and talk for half an hour after we are done with their hair. That’s just how it is here. We have some old posters on the wall and the usual smell of talcum powder and aftershave in the air. The road outside can get a bit busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home, but otherwise, it is a peaceful place to work. We just do the basic cuts and shaves that people ask for. There is nothing complicated about how we run things. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the regulars. It’s a steady life and we are happy enough being here in this corner of Vaishali Nagar. It’s just us doing what we know how to do best, every day.
