Ashoka Arts

You can find Ashoka Arts at 20 M I Road, right across from the Raymond Showroom. Being on such a major road means we see a lot of people every day, from tourists visiting the city to locals out for a walk. Our shop has been in this exact spot for many years. Inside, we have packed the shelves with all sorts of traditional crafts and art pieces. It often feels like we have too much stuff and not enough space to show it all off properly. The floorboards are a bit worn down because so many people have walked over them over the years. We do not spend money on big advertisements or fancy websites. We just open up the shop in the morning and wait to see who comes through the door. Our staff has been with us for a long time, and we all know the items we sell pretty well. We do not try to give people a big sales pitch. Usually, people just like to wander around and look at things in their own time. It gets very hot in the shop during the summer months, but we have some ceiling fans that help a little. Having the Raymond Showroom as a landmark across the street makes it easy for people to find us. It is an interesting way to make a living because we get to meet so many different people from all over the world.
