We've been here on Rampura Road for a while now. It's a busy corner of Mansarovar. Most days start early, opening the shutters and cleaning the floor before the first person walks in. We have a few chairs and big mirrors. It’s just a normal place for a haircut or a shave. Nothing fancy. People come in from the neighborhood, some we know by name because they’ve been coming since they were kids. Jaipur can get hot, so we keep the fans going. Sometimes it gets crowded on Sundays, and people just sit on the bench and talk about the news or what's happening in the market. We don't do anything complicated here. If you need a trim or your beard lined up, we just get to it. The tools are kept sharp and the towels are washed every day. My father used to say that a shop is only as good as the seat it provides. We try to keep things tidy, but it's a working shop, so there's usually a bit of hair on the floor until the broom comes out. Mansarovar has changed a lot, with new buildings coming up everywhere, but our little spot stays pretty much the same. We like it that way. No big signs, just the work we do every day. Sometimes people ask for a specific style they saw on their phone, and we try to match it. It's just a regular part of the day on Rampura Road.
