We’ve been set up here at Apex Mall on Tonk Road for a while now. The office is on the second floor, number 320, and it’s a busy spot with plenty of noise from the street below. Most mornings start with checking what came in overnight and seeing what needs to go out. It isn't always pretty, with papers piled up and the phone ringing more than we’d like, but it’s how things get done here. Importex India isn’t a huge operation, just a handful of us making sure the logistics don't fall apart. Tonk Road is usually packed with traffic, so getting to the office can be a bit of a headache some days. Once we are inside, though, the routine takes over. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to people about shipping dates and boxes. Sometimes the internet is slow, or a delivery gets delayed, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s practical work. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big reception area, just some desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We know the neighbors in the mall pretty well by now. People stop by, or we go grab tea downstairs when things get too quiet. It’s just a normal workplace where we try to keep things moving without too much fuss. We’ve learned that things rarely go exactly as planned, so we just stay flexible and keep at it every day.
