Anushka

My place is over at 31 Kanwar Nagar, right near the Jai Niwas Garden. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the center of the city. Anushka is the name I use for my business, though it's really just me and my family working together. Being so close to the garden is nice because you get a bit of a breeze and some greenery nearby. I don't have a big storefront with a neon sign. Most people just know the house number or recognize us when they walk by. We do our work from here every day. It’s a very local operation. We don't have a website or anything like that. If someone wants something, they usually just come by and talk to us. We might be busy with chores or other things, but we always have time for a customer. The house is always full of activity. Sometimes it’s hard to separate work from home life, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We take things as they come. If a day is busy, we work late. If it’s slow, we spend time in the garden or with the neighbors. It’s a relaxed way to run things. We aren't looking to grow into a massive corporation. We just want to keep doing what we do right here in Kanwar Nagar. It is our home and our business all mixed into one. It has been this way since the very beginning when we first opened up our small doors to the people around here.
