Ankita Handicrafts is located over on Hawa Mahal Road. We are quite close to Chandi Ki Taxaal, which is a busy area with a lot of history. We make and sell various handicraft items that people like to look at. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot of things into the shelves. You can see the old buildings around us every day. We spend a lot of time dusting the items because the street gets quite a bit of traffic. Some days are slow, and some days we have a lot of people walking in to see what is new. We try to stock things that show the local style of the area. It is just a small business run by people who live nearby. We know the other shopkeepers on the road quite well. It's a lively place to work. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. People usually find us while they are walking towards the main monuments. We keep the doors open most of the day. The work involves a lot of talking to customers and checking the stock. We get new items in every week or so. It's a simple life here near the old part of the city. We've been at this spot for some time now and plan to stay. The sounds of the market are part of our day. We just focus on selling the crafts we have on hand. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything organized in such a small space, but we manage.
