Anjana Agencies

Anjana Agencies is located in Indira Bazar at a place called Doo Nagri House, which is in Khajane Walon Ka Rasta. This is the heart of the old city, so the streets are very narrow and full of history. The building we are in is quite old and has that classic Jaipur character. We operate as an agency, which means we deal with a lot of boxes and distribution work. It’s not really a walk-in retail shop where you would buy a single item. Most of our day is spent checking invoices and moving stock around. The area is always buzzing with activity and it can be hard to find a place to park a scooter. We have been here for quite some time now. The rooms inside the agency are filled with tall stacks of products and the smell of old paper from our record books. We use a lot of handwritten notes instead of fancy computer systems for everything. It’s a traditional way of working that still fits this part of town. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the supplies get to where they need to go. It is a busy, slightly messy, but very real business in a very old part of Jaipur.
