Running a place like Anil Kids Men Parlour Saloon in Barkat Nagar is always interesting because of the mix of people we see. We handle hair for both the grown men and the little kids, which are two very different jobs. The kids usually don't want to sit still, so we have to be quick and patient at the same time. If you need a haircut, you come in, sit down, and we do it. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it by now. Most of our regulars are families from the nearby blocks. We like the familiar faces and the simple way we run things here. It's just a steady business.
