Anil Hair Dressers is sitting right in the middle of Baba Shyam Market in Shahpura. If you know the Delhi Road area, you probably know where we are. It’s a busy market and there’s always something going on outside the door. We opened up here because it’s a good spot where people from the village and travelers can stop by. The shop is small and we have the usual barber chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working the scissors and razors. The dust from the Delhi Road can be a bit of a problem, so we are always dusting off the counters. Most of our regulars are men from around Shahpura who just want a clean shave or a short haircut before they head back to work. We don't use any fancy machines, just the standard stuff. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always running at full speed. Sometimes the tea man from next door brings us a cup while we work. It’s a simple life here in Jaipur - 303103. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the name on the front. People find us because we’ve been here a while. We just do the job and talk to the people who walk in. It’s a busy spot but we just keep our heads down and get the work done.
