Anand Enterprises

You have to walk down Ganesham Nayon Ki Gali to find us. We are at 3860, near the III Crossing on KGB Ka Rasta in Johari Bazar. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you really have to know where you’re going. Anand Enterprises has been in this part of the bazaar for quite some time. The building is old, with thick walls that keep it somewhat cool even when the sun is beating down on the street outside. It’s a very traditional area, and we like the history of it. We don’t have much in the way of modern decor. There are wooden shelves and old ledgers everywhere. It can get very crowded in the Gali, especially during the festival seasons. We spend our days dealing with suppliers and greeting the people who manage to navigate the maze of Johari Bazar to reach us. It’s a noisy, vibrant place to spend a day. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background. Most of our work is done by hand or on a very old computer that takes its time to start up. We don’t see any reason to change things just for the sake of looking modern. We know our neighbors, and they know us. If you get lost looking for 3860, just ask anyone near the crossing and they’ll point you toward us. It’s just how things work here in this part of the city. We keep a few chairs out front for when the shop gets full. It helps when people have to wait.
