Ambay Saloon

This is Ambay Saloon and we are located in Niwaru, Jaipur, specifically on the Main Road in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. The pin code is 302012 if you are looking for it on a map. Being in an industrial area means we get a lot of workers and people from the nearby factories coming in. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and bikes passing by all the time. The shop is a simple place with mirrors and chairs that have seen a lot of use. We keep the fans running constantly because Jaipur gets very hot in the summer months. It’s a local spot where people come to sit for a bit and get their hair done. We don't have any of those fancy spa treatments or anything like that. Just the basics like cuts and shaves. I usually start the day by sweeping the floor and getting the towels ready. The Main Road is always noisy so we usually have some music playing to drown out the traffic. Jhotwara is a hardworking part of the city and we fit right in with that. People stop in after their shifts are over or before they head to work. It’s a small shop but it stays busy enough to keep us on our feet. We’ve been in Niwaru for a while and know most of the regulars by name now. It is just our little corner on the main road.
