Amar Jents Parlour

Amar Jents Parlour is tucked away on Plot No. 47 along Main Kalidas Marg in Bani Park. It is quite close to City Plaza and Space Cinema, so we get a mix of people coming in. Some are locals from the old houses in Bani Park, and others are just passing through after watching a movie. The street outside can get pretty busy with cars looking for parking, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the clippers. I have worked here for a long time, and the routine never really changes. I get in, turn on the lights, and make sure the capes are clean and folded. The shop has a tiled floor that I try to keep shiny, but with people coming in from the dusty street, it is a constant job. There is a small shelf where I keep the lotions and the aftershave bottles. Some people like to talk a lot while they are in the chair, telling stories about their jobs or the traffic in Jaipur, while others just want to sit in silence and get finished. We have a big mirror that covers most of the wall, which makes the small room feel a bit bigger than it actually is. It is just a simple jents parlour where we focus on doing the work properly without any unnecessary talk or fancy equipment that isn't needed for a good haircut.
