Akhand Jyoti Books

Akhand Jyoti Books is in Shop-10 of the Shivam Apartment. We are situated in the Central Spine of Vidhyadhar Nagar. This area is quite organized and has a lot of shops and businesses all lined up. Being in an apartment building means we have a lot of neighbors who live right above us. Our shop is small but we have packed it with as many books as we can fit on the shelves. Sometimes the stacks get a bit high and we have to be careful when we are looking for something. We have been here since the building was relatively new. The Central Spine is a good place to be because there is always someone walking past the window. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for people to come in. The shop has a particular smell of paper and ink that we have grown to love. It’s a quiet place compared to the busy street outside. We spend our time tidying up and talking to the regulars who stop by to see what is new. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We just like books and we like being in Vidhyadhar Nagar. It’s a simple business and we try to keep things as easy as possible for everyone. The shop is our second home, and we treat it that way every day. Even when the weather is bad, we are usually here.
