Ajay Hair Dresser

We are located over on Swaran Path in Mansarovar, right at 42/1. It’s a decent area, mostly families and people going about their business. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it stays busy enough. We open up early most days because that is when people want to get things done before work. The scissors need sharpening more often than I’d like. There’s a small bench outside where people sit when it’s nice out. Inside, it’s just the usual chairs and a couple of mirrors that have seen better days. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we keep the broom handy. Mansarovar has changed quite a bit over the years, more traffic now for sure. Sometimes the street noise gets loud, especially when the bikes go past. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us working the chairs. It gets hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front window. We use a small curtain to block it out. Most of the customers are people from the nearby blocks who have been coming here for years. We know most of their names and how they like their hair cut. It’s a quiet life, mostly. Just cutting hair and talking about the weather or whatever else is going on in the city. No big complaints, really. Just keeping the shop running. We keep a stack of old newspapers for people to read while they wait.
