Agarwals Retail Shop

Agarwals Retail Shop has its home at 120 Haldiyon Ka Rasta. If you know Johari Bazar at all, then you know how packed those narrow lanes can get during the day. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It has been in our family for quite a long time. We open up early because that is when the morning air is still a bit cool before the sun gets high. The shop is not very wide, but it goes back a fair way into the building. We have a lot of different items crammed onto the walls and in the glass cases. It is just a standard retail spot. We deal with all sorts of people every day. Some are locals who have been coming to see us for twenty years, and others are just tourists passing through the bazar. It gets very loud with all the rickshaws and people shouting outside. Sometimes we have to raise our voices a bit just to be heard over the noise from the street. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just put our goods out and wait for people to come in. The wooden counters are old and have quite a few scratches on them from years of use. We could get new ones, but these have been here since I was a child. It feels right.
