A Op Hair Dresser is right in the middle of the old city chaos at Shop No 207 in Ramganj. Being right opposite the Ramganj Chopad means there is never a quiet moment here. You can hear the rickshaws and the crowds all day long. This shop has been part of the landscape in Jaipur 302003 for a long time. It is a small space, and we have to keep things organized to make sure everyone fits. We do a lot of traditional hair cutting and beard trimming. Most of the men who come here have been coming since they were kids. It is the kind of place where the news of the neighborhood gets shared across the chairs. We don't have any fancy signs or bright lights, just the old ones that have worked for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get around to it. It is hard to find parking around here, so most of our customers just walk over or leave their cycles nearby. Working in Ramganj is different from the newer parts of Jaipur because everything feels more connected. We are just a local hair dresser trying to do a decent job every day. If you find yourself near the Chopad, you will see our shop tucked in with the others. It is not much to look at from the outside, but we get the work done right.
