A & K Furniture

Our shop is at 39, Girnar Colony in Vaishali Nagar. It’s a quieter spot compared to the main roads, which we like. We’ve been here for a while now, making and selling furniture. It’s a straightforward business. We have some pieces on display and a lot of work going on in the back. You’ll usually smell sawed wood or polish when you walk in. We don't have a big, glossy showroom with bright lights. It’s just a normal building where we keep our tools and our stock. Most of us who work here have been doing this for years, so we know our way around a piece of wood. We don't use a lot of marketing talk or try to push people to buy things they don't need. People usually come in with an idea of what they want, and we see if we can make it for them. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes we’re busy with a big order, and other times we’re just fixing up a small chair. We like being in Vaishali Nagar because it feels like a community. We know the neighbors and they know us as the furniture folks from Girnar Colony. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one piece at a time, every day of the week.
