About The Shishukunj International School – Education in Indore
We spend a lot of time here on Bypass Road in Jhalaria. It is a big place and things are usually busy starting from early morning when the first buses show up. If you stand near the main gate in Indore, you hear the traffic from the road but then it gets quieter as you walk toward the back. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with papers and tea mugs, which is just how it goes when everyone is working. We have these long hallways that seem to go on forever. In the afternoons, the sun hits the windows in a way that makes the classrooms quite bright. Sometimes the air conditioners are a bit loud, but nobody really minds once the lessons are going. We just go about our day, making sure the rooms are ready and the grounds are kept up. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the buildings. The office at The Shishukunj International School is where most of the talking happens, mostly about the schedule or who needs what. It’s a solid building, nothing too fancy in the older parts, but it works for what we need. You get used to the routine of it all, the bells ringing and the way the shadows move across the playground by three o'clock. It’s just our workplace and where the kids are for most of their day, sitting at their desks or running around the open areas when they get a break.
