Vasumati Public High School

Vasumati Public High School is over at 52 C Suryadev Nagar in Indore. This part of the city is usually quite busy, and our school is right in the thick of it. We are a high school, so the students are a bit older and there is a lot of talk about board exams and future plans. The building is a functional one, with concrete stairs and rows of wooden benches that have been used by many groups of students over the years. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just some maps and maybe a few old posters about science. It is a very grounded place. The teachers spend most of their time trying to keep the teenagers focused on their books instead of their phones. During the break, the courtyard is full of students eating their lunch and talking loudly. It is not a quiet place by any means. We are located in the 452001 zip code area, which is easy for most local families to reach by bus or cycle. There is nothing very corporate about how we run things. We just follow the schedule and make sure the bells ring at the right time. Most days are predictable, which is probably good for a school. It is just a place for learning and getting through the teenage years.
