Most folks in Indore know where The Daly College is. It’s been sitting on this land for generations. It’s a big place, lots of green space and old stone buildings that require a lot of upkeep. We spend a good chunk of our time just making sure the grass is cut and the roofs don't leak when the monsoon hits. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of kids chatting and teachers writing on boards. We have the usual sports fields and classrooms you’d expect at a school this size. People think it’s all very formal, and maybe it looks that way from the outside, but inside, it’s just a school. Teachers get tired, students forget their homework, and the canteen always runs out of the good snacks by noon. We try to keep things organized, but with so many kids running around, it’s always a bit of a scramble. The morning assembly is usually when you see everyone at once, standing in rows. We don't go in for big speeches or fancy presentations. We just get through the announcements and get on with the day’s lessons. It’s a busy spot in Indore, always something going on, whether it's a cricket match or someone studying for a math test in the shade of a tree. It’s a lot of work to run, but we’ve been doing it a while now. We keep the registers updated and the bells ringing on time. It is a simple, hardworking life.
