Our place is located at 124 in the Gurunanak Timber Market. We are directly opposite Devkrishnabag, which makes it fairly easy to find once you get into the market area. This part of town is always full of the smell of cut wood and the sound of trucks moving heavy loads around. We deal with alkalies and marine products, so our side of the business is a bit different from the timber shops surrounding us. The office is a simple one, mostly used for handling orders and keeping track of the inventory coming in and going out. It is an industrial kind of neighborhood, so it is not very quiet or clean, but it suits the kind of work we do. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure the chemical products are handled correctly. There is usually a lot of dust in the air from the timber yards, so we are always dusting off the desks. We have been here for a while and know most of the other folks working in the market. It is a tight-knit community of traders and workers. The days are long and usually involve a lot of heavy lifting and checking drums or bags of product. We don't have any fancy corporate stuff here, just a basic warehouse and office setup that gets the job done. It is a rugged place to work but we like the pace of it.
