B Roshanlal Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is located at No. 15/2 Abhishek Nagar in the Palda area. This part of town is pretty well known for having lots of small factories and warehouses. We have a solid concrete building where we keep the chemical stocks. It usually smells a bit sharp inside, like vinegar or cleaning supplies, depending on what we have in the vats that day. The floors are stained from years of work, and we don't try to hide that. It is a working space, not a showroom. We spend a lot of our time moving drums around and checking the labels to make sure everything is where it should be. Palda can get really dusty during the dry season, so the trucks coming in and out of Abhishek Nagar kick up a lot of grit. We have a small office area partitioned off with some plywood, but it’s mostly just for keeping the ledgers and a couple of old chairs. We usually eat our lunch together near the back loading dock where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s a lot of manual labor, and the hours can be long when we have a big shipment going out to a client. We’ve been doing this for years, so we have a rhythm down. Most of the neighbors are doing similar work, so we all know each other and occasionally borrow tools or help out with a flat tire. It is a busy, hardworking neighborhood.
