Shilpa Chem

Shilpa Chem is located out at 47-D, Industrial Estate Fort, over in Laxmi Bai Nagar. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of noise from trucks and machinery nearby. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we got used to it pretty fast. The building is a big concrete structure that’s been painted grey. Inside, we have a lot of drums and equipment for the chemical work we do. It’s mostly practical stuff, nothing for show. We usually start quite early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The heat in the warehouse can be a bit much in the summer, so we have a couple of big fans that we keep running all day. They make a lot of noise, but they help. We have a small office tucked away in the corner where we keep the records. It's a bit dusty because of all the activity, no matter how much we try to clean it. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other well. We don't have a fancy sign out front, just the number 47-D painted on the gate. Sometimes visitors get lost because the units in the estate are all numbered a bit strangely. We usually tell them to look for the big blue door. It’s a busy environment and there is always something that needs fixing or moving. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come.
