Sharda Vidya Mandir Hr. Sec. School is over at 134, Saket Nagar in Indore. Even though the name has Sehore in it, this particular building is right here in the Saket Nagar neighborhood. We are a higher secondary school, so we see students all the way through their final years of schooling. The school is tucked into a residential part of the city, which makes it feel like a part of the local community. Every morning, the street gets busy with parents dropping off their kids on scooters or in cars. We’ve been operating out of this address for a long time. The building has seen many groups of students pass through its doors. Inside, the hallways are a bit narrow and the classrooms are filled with old wooden desks. We don't really have a big marketing budget or anything fancy. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are where they need to be. The teachers have been here for years and they know most of the families by name. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. Sometimes we have to fix the roof after the monsoon rains or repaint the gates when they start to look a bit worn out. We just take care of things as they come up. It’s a steady environment for the kids to do their work and get through their classes.
