Shanti Niketan Secondary School

We are located at 28, New Palasia, which is a fairly well-known part of Indore. It’s a bit more established and a little less chaotic than the college areas, which is nice for a secondary school. The building is an older structure, and it has that solid feel to it that you don't get with the new glass constructions. Shanti Niketan Secondary School has been at this address for quite some time, and we like the sense of history that comes with it. There are some big old trees along the street that provide a lot of shade, which is a blessing when the Indore summer hits. The 452001 area is very central, so it’s easy for everyone to get here. Inside, the rooms have high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that have been painted over a dozen times. We don’t have any of those fancy modern lobbies with fountains or anything. It’s just a school. We have a small playground area, but it’s mostly used for morning assembly. The staff here are like a big family; some have been teaching in these same rooms for twenty years. We know the parents and we often taught their older kids too. It’s a steady, reliable place. We just focus on the day-to-day work of running classes and making sure the building stays in one piece. It’s a good, quiet corner of New Palasia that feels like home.
