Sam Overseas

We are over at 226 in Shastri Market. It’s usually pretty crowded around here, especially in the mornings when everyone is opening up their shops and the tea stalls start getting busy. We have been in this spot for a while now, dealing with all kinds of overseas trade stuff. Mostly, it’s just us sitting at the desks, making sure the paperwork for the shipments is actually right so things don't get stuck at the port. Sometimes the fans make too much noise, but you get used to it after a few years. People come in and out looking for things to send abroad, and we just try to get it sorted for them without too much trouble. It is a lot of back and forth on the phone, really. Shastri Market has changed quite a bit since we started, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We have stacks of files that probably need cleaning out, but they’ve been there forever. The guy who delivers the mail knows us by name now. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just an office where work gets done day after day. Most of the time, we are just busy checking the lists and talking to the transport guys about when the trucks are going to show up. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and the people we deal with.
