Our office for Bakersville India Pvt. Ltd. is at 20 Ameer Complex in South Hathipala. Hathipala is a very crowded market area and it is always a struggle to get a vehicle through the narrow streets in the afternoon. Ameer Complex is an older building and our unit is tucked away inside. We deal with a lot of different supplies for people who bake, so there are always boxes of stuff stacked up against the walls. The lighting isn't the best in the complex, but we have some extra lamps at the desks. It gets quite warm in the summer because the building doesn't have great ventilation. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. Most of the day is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or writing out bills by hand. There is a lot of noise from the street vendors and the shops nearby, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We keep a small stove in the corner to make chai for anyone who stops by. It’s not a polished place but it is where we do our business every day. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a little when it rains really hard, so we have to move the boxes around to keep them dry. It is just a normal, busy workplace in the middle of a busy city.
