Mahavir Timber Steel Works

No. 202 Dhar Road is right near Kastur Cinema so it is a landmark everyone knows. You can hear the saws from down the block. At Mahavir Timber Steel Works we are always surrounded by the smell of freshly cut wood and the sharp scent of metal being grinded. It is a loud place and there is always sawdust in the air. We have got stacks of timber on one side and steel rods on the other. It is a bit of a juggle managing both but we have been doing it for years. The guys on the shop floor have thick callouses and do not say much while they work. We get customers from all over the city coming in because of the location. The traffic on Dhar Road is usually a mess especially when a movie lets out at the cinema nearby. We do not have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have you just walk into the yard and look. It is honest work. Sometimes we get a big order that keeps us working late into the night. We have a small room in the back where we keep the invoices and have our meals. It is not glamorous but it is what we know. The floor is never quite level and the walls could use a coat of paint but it does not matter for the work we do. We just focus on getting the cuts right and the welds strong.
