Our shop is on Jawahar Marg, pretty much right next to the power house. It’s a busy spot with lots of noise from the street, but we’re used to it by now. We spend most of our mornings just moving heavy tables and wardrobes around to make space. The floor is usually covered in some dust because of the open doors, but that’s just how it is here. People stop by looking for something for their living room or maybe just a cheap plastic stool. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you walk past the power house, you’ll see our sign. It isn’t anything too bright, just enough to let people know we’re open. We’ve been at No. 343 for a while. Sometimes the tea seller from down the road comes by and we take a break. Most of the furniture we have is stuff people actually need for their daily lives. Nothing is too complicated about how we run things. We open the shutters, sweep the front, and wait to see who comes in. Sometimes it’s a neighbor just saying hello, other times it’s someone looking for a full set of chairs. We just keep doing our thing and helping out whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple life at the shop, really, and we don't plan on changing much about how we work.
