Nandini Steel Furniture

We are located on the Kushwah Main Road in Rajaram Nagar. If you walk by, you’ll probably hear the sound of metal hitting metal or the screech of a saw. That’s us making cupboards and racks. We work mostly with steel because it lasts a long time and stays sturdy even with heavy use. Our shop has a small front area where we show off a few finished pieces, like some grey almirahs and a few office chairs. The back is where all the real work happens. It is dusty and smells like fresh paint most days. I started this because people in the neighborhood needed good furniture that wouldn't break after a year. We don't do those fancy designs you see in magazines, just solid stuff that does what it is supposed to do. My brother and I run the place together and we have one helper who comes in late. Sometimes we get a big order for a school or an office and the whole floor is covered in steel sheets for a week. We deliver the items ourselves in a small truck, though sometimes we have to wait for the rain to stop before loading up so things don't get wet. It’s a tough job and we get tired by the end of the day, but seeing a finished cupboard ready to go makes it worth it. We aren't big talkers. We just show people what we’ve made and let the furniture speak for itself.
