Palash Verma here. I’ve been doing this for a while now from my spot at 104 Palasia Tower. If you know Main Road in New Palasia, you’ve probably walked right past us. It’s mostly just me and a few cameras and a lot of memory cards. People come in for all sorts of things, maybe a headshot or they want some family photos taken. I don’t really have a big fancy speech about art. I just like taking pictures that look like the person. Some days it’s quiet and I’m just sitting here editing on the computer, and other days it’s total chaos with kids running around or someone trying to get a wedding album sorted out. The light in the studio is okay, but sometimes we go outside if the weather is nice. New Palasia has some good spots if you know where to look. I’ve lived around here most of my life so I know the shortcuts. It’s a job, but it’s a good one. I get to meet a lot of different people from the neighborhood. Most of the time we just talk while I’m setting up the tripod. It isn't always perfect, sometimes the printer acts up or a battery dies right when you need it, but we manage. If you’re ever near Palasia Tower, you can just stop in. I’m usually there unless I’m out on a shoot somewhere else in the city.
