Prateek Photography

I've been holding a camera for a long time now. My shop is over at 351 Badig Valtwali, just a short walk from Geeta Bhawan. Most days, I’m either out on a shoot or sitting here at the desk looking through photos from the weekend. It gets pretty busy around here when there are festivals or weddings. Sometimes the lighting in the studio isn't exactly what I want, so I move things around until it feels right. People stop by to ask about prints or just to say hello while they’re passing through the neighborhood. I remember when I first started, I only had one lens and a lot of nerves. Now, I know the streets around Geeta Bhawan like the back of my hand. The shop isn't huge, but it fits everything I need. We have some old frames on the walls and a lot of memory cards lying around. I try to keep things organized, but when you're working on five different projects, it gets messy. It’s a good kind of mess, though. I like seeing people's faces when they see their pictures for the first time. It makes the long hours of editing worth it. If you're ever near Badig Valtwali, you'll probably see me standing outside taking a break. It's just a regular local business trying to capture some good moments for the folks around here. We don't do anything fancy, just honest work with our cameras every day.
